How We Got Here

A Cluster of Producers Coming Together
Members of the Jaipur Bloc incorporated as the Jaipur Integrated Texcraft Park Private Limited in 2010. The goal of was to provide world-class infrastructure and eco-friendly facilities for textile units in India. This new cluster is a result of the joint efforts of the European Commission’s SWITCH Asia Project, the Government of India’s “Scheme for Integrated Textile Parks,” and the Consortium of Textile Producers (COTEX).

Landing on the Global Stage
In 2011, Jaipur Bloc made its global entrance by collectively presenting its members’ products at the Maison et Objet fair in Paris, France. The strategy of banding together for global markets was based on the findings of significant market research by the All India Artisans and Craftworkers Welfare Association (AIACA) and leadership of Traidcraft, a UK-based organization devoted to development through trade.

A Vision Realized
In 2012, Jaipur Bloc members move into new production units at the Jaipur Integrated Texcraft Park, located in Bagru, just outside of Jaipur, India. This new industrial area includes purpose-built production buildings and is equipped with world-class effluent treatment, water harvesting.
